I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out with a deep sense of purpose to share the work we’re doing at Access & Opportunity Links, and how we’re working to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community. Our organization is committed to supporting students from infancy through adulthood, helping them achieve academic success, develop strong career skills, and contributing to the recovery of underserved communities.

Buck's Story
Leathon Magee is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in leadership, education, community development, and public service. A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, and currently residing in Shreveport, Louisiana, Leathon Magee has dedicated much of his life to empowering communities, fostering education, and creating opportunities for individuals to thrive.
Over the course of a distinguished career, Leathon has held a variety of impactful roles. He served as the Pastor of St. John Baptist Church in Mansfield before retiring from that position, touching the lives of many with his spiritual leadership. In the military, Leathon served as an Air Force Officer specializing in Budget and Finance, where he gained valuable experience in strategic management and financial oversight. His career in education includes serving as a College and University Administrator at both Grambling State University and Southern University, working to support academic excellence and student success.
In addition to his work in education, Leathon has held several key leadership positions in public service, including Executive Director of the Community Partnership for Drug-Free Shreveport, where he led initiatives to improve public health and safety. He also served as Special Assistant to the Mayor and Assistant Director in the Department of Urban Development for the City of Shreveport, focusing on community revitalization and urban development. As Business Manager for the David Raines Community Health Center, Leathon contributed to improving health services in the local community. Later, he became the Principal of Linwood Public Charter School, helping to guide the school toward academic excellence.
Currently, Leathon serves as the Founder and President of Access and Opportunity Links, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing academic achievement support and career development opportunities for individuals of all ages.
In addition, he is the Owner of Swift Bucks LLC, a tax service business, and an Associate Minister at Zion Baptist Church. Leathon also continues to work as an Education Consultant for Pathways in Education, helping to shape the future of education.
Leathon is a lifelong learner and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Grand Canyon University. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Virginia University at Lynchburg. Leathon also earned a degree in Accounting (B.S.) from Mississippi Valley State University and studied at Biola University’s Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, California.
With a wealth of experience in leadership, education, public service, and community development, Leathon Magee remains deeply committed to making a positive impact and creating pathways for success for others.
